Ascutney Hill Climb

6^th series, race 4 of 5

Congratulations to course record holder Eric Blake and Karolyn Bowley on their wins! Also to Team AMP  and all the amazing volunteers and sponsors for another great race, awards n eats @ the Brownsville Butcher & Pantry!


Once again we were blessed with great running weather! High 60’s n low 70’s great views from the summit! Next Saturday, June 15^th  is the final race in the 6^th Northeast Uphill Mountain Series, the granddaddy of ‘em all…the Northeast Delta Dental Mount Washington Road Race!


After 4 races, Walter, Jeff, Josh, Sau-Mei, Darrel, Jackie, Jim & Peggy, Ed & Robin and I have achieved “Mountain Goat” status! If they do/or did not get in by lottery; Donna, Kevin, Cris, Elaine, Karen, Don, Rich and Mark can still achieve it! Can hardly wait!!! 😊


Asked Walter if he would do a little write up to include, thanks Walter!!!    “This year the Ascutney Hill Climb was a "triple threat" race as it was part of the 2019 USATF New England Mountain Circuit, the 2019 USATF New England All Terrain Runner Series and of course the 6th Northeast Uphill Mountain Series. This produce a large field of 206 finishers and a highly competitive race in all age divisions. Under the management of Team AMP, registration, number pickup, and post-race refreshments were all excellent. That coupled with great June weather made for a perfect warm-up for the concluding race of the 6th Northeast Uphill Mountain Series, next week's always challenging Mt Washington Road Race.”
